The fireplace inspection includes but not limited to, the readily accessible and visible portions of the fireplaces and chimneys, the lintels above the fireplace openings, the damper doors by opening and closing them, and if readily accessible and manually operable, the cleanout doors and frames. Inspector will describe the type of fireplace, ie. gas or wood burning.
